🍠 Sweet Potato Pie Protein Shake
🛒 Shop Herbalife Online · Order Bundles
Sweet potato pie is the Thanksgiving dessert people guard the last slice of, so we put it in a blender. Real sweet potato, cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg over a salted caramel shake base taste like pie filling with a caramel finish, and it takes five minutes with no oven.
Prep time: 5 minutes · Makes: 1 shake
Ingredients
- 2 scoops Herbalife Formula 1 Salted Caramel Macchiato
- 1 scoop Personalized Protein Powder
- 8 oz milk of choice
- 1/3 cup cooked sweet potato, cooled (or unsweetened canned sweet potato purée)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pinch nutmeg (or ground ginger)
- 1 cup ice
- Optional: crushed graham cracker and a pinch of flaky sea salt on top
Steps
- Pour the milk into the blender and add the cooled sweet potato.
- Add Formula 1 Salted Caramel Macchiato, Personalized Protein Powder, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Add the ice.
- Blend for 45 to 60 seconds, until completely smooth and thick.
- Pour into a glass, top with crushed graham cracker and a pinch of flaky salt, and serve right away.
Tips for Thanksgiving week
- Use the leftovers. Plain baked or roasted sweet potato from the holiday table works best. Scoop it out of the skin and chill it first so the shake stays cold.
- No leftovers? Microwave a scrubbed sweet potato for 5 to 7 minutes until soft, or use unsweetened canned sweet potato purée.
- Thicker or thinner: add a few more ice cubes for a spoonable shake, or an extra splash of milk to sip it through a straw.
- Make it for the table: double or triple the recipe in a large blender and pour it into small glasses for a Thanksgiving-morning breakfast.
See the Formula 1 label for protein and nutrition per serving.
